Their inspiring words will motivate attendees to become agents of change and foster compassion and faith in their communities.

Keynote Speakers

Monica Sellers-Jenkins
First Lady Monica Sellers Jenkins, affectionately known as Lady J,
was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. As the sustaining force
standing in the gap for her husband, Pastor Melvin K. Jenkins, she
serves faithfully at Greater Shiloh Deliverance Ministries C.O.G.I.C.
With over 25 years of dedicated service, she has led the Women’s
Ministry and ministered to young people, passionately equipping
them with life skills and self-sufficiency.
Lady J is a woman of influence, compassion, and purpose. She is
an author, certified life coach, marriage counselor, and a fierce
advocate for children. Answering the call of God upon her life, she
ministers to the brokenhearted, offering hope, healing, and
restoration.
In 2022, she was elevated to Assistant Jurisdictional Supervisor of
the Michigan Southwest Fifth Jurisdiction under the dynamic
leadership of Bishop Don W. Shelby Jr. and Jurisdictional
Supervisor Mother Kathleen Rainey.
Lady J has been married to the love of her life for 35 years and is a
devoted wife, loving mother of two wonderful daughters and one
son, a cherished mother-in-law to two amazing sons-in-law, and a
proud grandmother of four adorable grandchildren.
Like the lilies of the field, her influence flourishes, and her
dedication to her community continues to grow, touching lives far
and wide.
Her favorite scripture, Galatians 2:20, is the foundation of her life
and ministry:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me.”
La Toya Bond
La Toya Bond is an acclaimed author of two #1 international best-selling books. Throughout the course
of her lifetime, La Toya has won the hearts of many with her profound passion for spreading love. She is
the host of "Speaking of Love Podcast", created in honor of her father who took his own life in a murder-
suicide. Since the tragedy, La Toya has become an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention.
Her mission is to help save the lives of people who are struggling with mental health challenges, which
often leads to suicide. To date, La Toya has recorded over 130 life-changing podcast episodes. On her
podcast, she interviews people from all around the world with the sole intention of spreading love. As a
minority woman, La Toya is nationally recognized by Black Women In Radio (BWIR) for her outstanding
& influential contributions to Black radio culture and digital media around the globe.
Before switching career paths, La Toya worked as a school office administrator for nearly two decades.
She was awarded the National Life Changer of The Year Award for positively impacting the lives of her
students. La Toya also serves on the Board of Directors for Kevin's Song, a non-profit dedicated to
ending suicide. La Toya has been featured in several media publications for her advocacy efforts,
including Fox 2 News, Macomb Daily News, Michigan Chronicle, Pittsburgh Courier, Oakland Press,
Authority Magazine, Detroit Praise Network, Radio One, Grosse Pointe News, Beasley Media, Detroit
Public Television (PBS) and more.
La Toya is a Jane of All Trades. She was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. She currently works as a
legal support professional in her hometown. She believes her occupation as a public servant is a "gift
from above." In 2018, she landed the job of her dreams as a radio co-host for The Michael Van Tull
Show. She proudly operates a cottage home bakery and a creative art business. During her spare time,
La Toya enjoys reading and collecting books and magazines. She comes from a big family where food is
the glue that strengthens her family “BOND!" She is highly sought after for her unique ability to prepare
delicious soul food meals and homemade desserts – all from scratch. She is an avid lover of Mickey
Mouse, Coca Cola beverages and red lipstick.
La Toya is the mother of one adult daughter, Crystal, who recently graduated from the University of
Michigan. The apple of La Toya’s eye is her beloved tuxedo cat, Faith, with whom she rescued from an
animal shelter in 2010. La Toya is also engaged to the love of her life, Keith.
La Toya is a respected community leader who believes that spreading love is the secret to her success.
